Callistemon pearsonii is a shrub species in the family Myrtaceae. It is native to the state of Queensland in Australia. The species was first formally described by Roger David Spencer and Peter Lumley in 1986 in Muelleria, based on plant material collected from Blackdown Tableland.[1] In his 2006 paper, New Combinations in Melaleuca for Australian Species of Callistemon (Myrtaceae), Lyn Craven, a research botanist from the Australian National Herbarium, proposed that the species should be renamed as Melaleuca pearsonii.[1]
